Penjualan Ritel Indonesia untuk bulan Agustus tumbuh 1,3% tahun-ke-tahun menyusul kenaikan 1,1% pada Juli. Kenaikan ini didorong oleh peningkatan penjualan pada Kelompok Makanan, Minuman, dan Tembakau, serta Kelompok Suku Cadang dan Aksesori, seperti diinformasikan oleh Bank Indonesia.
Pada basis bulanan, Penjualan ritel Indonesia bulan Agustus tumbuh 0,8% setelah turun 0,1% pada bulan sebelumnya. Pertumbuhan ini ditopang oleh terjaganya permintaan selama periode Hari Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia.

Rupiah diperdagangkan di 17.866 per Dolar AS sedikit menguat pasca rilis data. Dalam basis harian, mata uang ini mengalami kenaikan 0,05% setelah dibuka di 17.875 Jumat ini.
